WHAT BRANCH ARE YOU AFFILIATED WITH AT BRIGHT FUTURES FAMILIES?

All - Colorado Surrogacy, Montana Surrogacy, New England Surrogacy, Pacific Cascade Surrogacy, Southwest Surrogacy, and Texas Surrogacy

WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO WORKING IN SURROGACY?

“A little bit of chance and a little bit of destiny. Back in 2016, my wife and I decided to move out to Colorado. In 2017, we bought a house in the same cul de sac as Amanda, who also works for the BFF team. Eventually, the stars aligned and a marketing position became available just as I was looking to make a change.

I had the chance to interview with the team and started shortly after that. If you think about how many things had to happen just right for me to be part of this team, it definitely seems like more than a coincidence.”

WHY ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT WORKING IN THIS INDUSTRY?

"Unfortunately, my wife and I experienced child loss first-hand when our first son, Timothy, was stillborn at 38 weeks in 2019. As you can imagine, it was an intensely tough year for us and something we hope no one ever has to go through, though it's more common than we knew at the time.

Since then, we have welcomed Timmy's little brother, Barrett, to our family when Megan gave birth to him September 25 of 2020.

Without trying to put it all into words, suffice to say we've experienced more emotions than we ever thought we could and that motivates me to help others in their journey.

I know the extreme heartbreak. I know the extreme joy. I want to help those who have experienced the heartbreak get to the part where they can experience the joy as well."

WHAT KIND OF INTENDED PARENTS WOULD YOU MOST WANT TO WORK WITH AND WHY?

"In my eyes, the only thing I care about when it comes to the intended parents is that they have a 'forever space' reserved in their heart for their little baby, and they know what a gift a little baby is to them.

Nothing is ever guaranteed and once that baby is yours, the real journey begins. It might be tough, tiresome, and a thousand other things, but there are tons and tons of people that would do anything to be in your shoes, holding that baby. Never forget how lucky you are."

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT SURROGACY, THAT YOU HAVE LEARNED BEING IN THIS INDUSTRY?

"I wish more people knew about the intended parents journey, how often they have dealt with beyond difficult circumstances to turn to this option, sometimes as a last resort, and how this process can literally make dreams come true."

HOBBIES

Woodworking - I love to make things out of things and teach myself new skills. Backpacking, hiking and camping. I love the outdoors, exploring nature, and going places off the beaten path where you won't find a lot of other people.

FAMILY LIFE

Married to my beautiful wife, Megan. Sons Timothy and Barrett. Dog is a husky/lab/golden mix named Hopper, but we have a million nicknames for him so I don't even know if he knows which is his real name. We have two cats, Joey (the elder statesman) and Sheldon (the one who is always doing something you don't want him to be doing).

FAVORITE INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE

"Man is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present, the result being he does not live in the present or the future, he lives as if he is never going to die, and then he dies never having really lived." - Dalai Lama
