Spotlight for Marsha Bucanek - Montana Surrogacy

Hey Montana! My name is Marsha Bucanek and I adore the beautiful state of Montana. Whether it’s taking a family hike or exploring the local hot springs, there is never a dull moment. I also have a huge passion for pregnancy, birth and helping to support women through both. That is what lead me into my career as a birth worker.

I have chosen to support our community through comprehensive childbirth education and doula support. As a woman with two children of my own, I know these are some of our most vulnerable, exciting and often overwhelming times. We are so fortunate to have this beautiful ability! It was through my doula work that I began to have friends and family share their stories of heartache and struggle to begin a family of their own. So, when the opportunity to carry for another woman showed itself, I felt called to be a part of her journey.

I won’t pretend my journey was perfect, but it has been one of the greatest accomplishments of my life. The sacrifice of time and energy I contributed to this once tiny embryo, created from two amazing donors, has blossomed into a beautiful baby girl enjoying her life to the fullest with her proud mama there to watch all of it. What a gift to know I helped in creating their joy.

My journey has increased my desire to serve this community tenfold, through my birth work. Now, as well as being a childbirth educator and doula, I have the privilege of being an intake coordinator with Bright Futures Families through their Texas location. I am so excited to be a part of helping our surrogates navigate this process and being their support along the way.
