"Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I’m possible'!"
— Audrey Hepburn
Ellen Trachman is the Co-Director of Montana Surrogacy. She is an attorney and was one of Denver Business Journal’s 2018 40 Under 40, the GLBTQ Community Center of Colorado’s 2017 Legal Volunteer of the Year and the Denver Gay & Lesbian Chamber’s Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year (rock. star.). She lives in Colorado and is married with four kids: Meira (8), Turner (6), Zev (4), and Lindy (2) (we think we listed all the kids…we lost track).
Why she started working in surrogacy
“Knowing people in my life struggling with infertility inspired me to be an egg donor in my 20s. Going through the donation process inspired me to switch from corporate law to assisted reproductive technology law. Practicing ART law then inspired me to start a local company to provide surrogacy matching and support!”
Why she’s passionate about working in this industry
“I wanted to make a difference in the world on a personal level. Children are so incredible and life-changing; this seemed like an amazing way to make the world a better place.”
How she’d use her surrogacy compensation
What kind of intended parents she’d want to work with
“Laid-back ones. With a sense of humor.”
